PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass composition suitable for manufacturing glass molds having high inclination of refractive index by an ion exchanging method. SOLUTION: The glass composition comprises 60-80 mol% of P2 O5 , 0-10 mol% of Li2 O, 0-63 mol% of Na2 O, 0-35 mol% of K2 O, 0-10 mol% of Cs2 O, 3-60 mol% of Li2 O+Na2 O+K2 O+Cs2 O, 1-30 mol% of Ag2 O, 2-25 mol% of Al2 O3 , 0-5 mol% of Ga2 O3 , 0-5 mol% of In2 O3 , 0-5 mol% of Y2 O3 , 0-5 mol% of Gd2 O3 , 0-5 mol% of La2 O3 , 0-5 mol% of CeO2 , 0-3 mol% of Zr2 O, 0-3 mol% of Yb2 O3 , and 0-3 mol% of Lu2 O3 and has the inclination of refractive index obtained by an ion exchanging method.
