PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ship usable for dredging work or pleasure and capable of sailing forward and backward to all optional directions in a self-propelled manner and turning at a fixed point. SOLUTION: The plane shape of a hull 1 is made square or circular. Totally four sets of propellers 2 each consisting of a thruster 2a and a water flow pipe 2b are mounted near four corners of the square. Self-propelled operation is achieved by the combination of drive/stop and positive/reverse rotation of a thruster rotor built in the thruster 2a and the increased/reduced rotating speed thereof.
