An apparatus (10) for removably connecting an armrest (13) to a mounting pin (14) comprises a housing (32) attached to the armrest (13) having a retaining member (34) therein. The retaining member (34) has a base portion (36) and a pair of spaced apart resilient arms (38). An actuator (40) slidably disposed within the housing (32) engages the retaining member base portion (36) in order to disengage the retaining member arms (38) from a circumferentially-extending groove (17) adjacent a free end (15) of the pin (14) and allow the pin (14) to become disconnected from the housing (32) and armrest (13).
