PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light detecting apparatus which has a simple arrangement and carries out exact measurement by removing a background optical component. SOLUTION: The light detecting apparatus is provided with a light projection and a detection part 2. The detection part 2 is equipped with N units 1001 -100N and a digital operation circuit 40. Respective units 100n are similarly constituted to each other, and are provided with M optical detection cells 101 ,n -10M,n , an integration circuit 20n , a A/D conversion circuit 30n , a switch SWn01 , a switch SWn02 and a switch SWn03 . M×N optical detection cells 101 ,1 -10M,N are arranged in the m-th line and in the n-th column in a two-dimensional direction. Optical detection cell 10m ,n are positioned in the m-th line and n-th column. The capacity value of an integral capacity part in the integration circuit 20n is the same as that of a cell capacity part in the optical detection cell 10m ,n . The light projection action of a light projection part and the light detection action of a detection part 2 are synchronized to act to each other.
