PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control valve capable of accurately and easily performing assembling and piping works. SOLUTION: Two bolt positions 5a, 5b of a spool cover 3 are made to pass through a center line L3 of a spool and diagonally arranged interposing a center line L1 in parallel with a cross line L2 of the cover fixing surface of a valve casing and the side face of the valve casing. For a spring cover 4, two bolt positions 5c, 5d are similarly diagonally arranged interposing the center line L1. When the spring cover 4 is improperly fixed in a bolt hole for fixing the spool cover, the center line of a pilot port 6 of the spring cover 4 and the side face of the valve casing 2 are not in parallel and run off from the side face of the valve casing 2 as shown by a dotted line 6a, and thereby, a worker can visually recognize that the cover is improperly fixed during assembling and accurately re-assemble it. Accordingly, it can be prevented that the spool is assembled in a wrong direction relative to the valve casing.
