PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ground unit for training capable of installing the ground unit to a regular position without requiring measurement work at a job site. SOLUTION: The ground unit for training has a combination of a ground unit body 1 and a caul 2. The ground unit, a regular outer shell which is molded into the shape of ground unit for installing in a rail of a main line, has a resonator inside for resonating with a frequency necessary to perform an ATS function. The caul 2 is held by the ground unit body 1 and the end of the caul 2 is touched to the side surface of the rail R1 to adjust the setting position of the ground unit body at a constant distance away from the center of a gage between rails. The caul 2 is slidably supported by the ground unit body 1 and it is pulled out at a constant length from the ground unit body when used. The caul is drawn and stored in a range of the length of the ground unit body 1 when not used.
