TIME STAMP VALUE CONTROLLER

A time stamp controller for improving the efficiency of data storage while maintaining a data quality. A time stamp value difference operating section 103 determines a time stamp value difference representing the difference between an input time stamp value and a precedant time stamp value. A judgment section 104 judges whether the time stamp value difference is within a range of reference time stamp value that is a reference frame interval value plus an allowed range. An output selecting section 105 outputs, as an output time stamp value, a value that is the preceedant time stamp value plus the reference frame interval value when the time stamp value difference is within a range of the reference time stamp value. When the time stamp value difference is judged not to be within the range of the reference time stamp value, the output selecting section outputs the input time stamp value as an output time stamp value.
