HEAT-RESISTANT FILTER ELEMENT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF

A heat−resistant resin filter element for separating and capturing particles from a dust−containing gas,which comprises a comunicatingly porous formed product being prepared by fusing particles of a resin composition having polyethylene as a main component and containing an antioxidant in an amount of 0.1 to 3 mass parts per 100 parts of the resin component and allowing them to adhere to one another on their surfaces and,formed on the surface thereof,a coating layer of a fluororesin;and a method for producing the filter element which can be used for producing it with suppressed equipment cost in an environmentally friendly manner.The resin filter element is continuously usable under a high temperature circumstance of 70 to 130°C,in particular,of 90 to 110°C,is excellent in the resistance to chemicals,has flexibility,and can be produced in volume at a low cost.
