Sheets welding method

Thin aluminum sheets are laser butt welded using an additive powder supplied to the weld spot during welding as a gas-entrained powder stream enclosed by a protective gas. Preferred Features: The aluminum sheets consist of AlMgSi alloy. The additive powder consists of AlSin powder, the carrier gas consists of a noble gas or nitrogen and the protective gas consists of a noble gas and/or nitrogen.
