PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for easily and efficiently pruning the cloud-shaped branches in the high place of a garden tree such as the pine. SOLUTION: This pruning tool for the cloud-shaped branches in a high place is such that an extensible rod 4 making vertical strokes with an operating lever 5 at hand is internally installed in a longitudinal handle cylinder 1 so that the top end 5a of the rod is projected into the outside of the top edge 1a of the handle cylinder 1, pruning scissors 3 are fixed to the top end external wall 1b of the handle cylinder 1 so that the stationary blade handle part 3a of the scissors can move through a hinge 2 by opening in a range of downward 90 deg., and the moving blade handle part 3b thereof is detachably fixed to the top end 5a of the extensible rod 4.
