PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a conventional sword hanger stand in which a lower edge of a sword is easy to slip on a bottom face in a blade rest section, whereby anti-skid stuffing is sometimes employed, when the sword is placed on the bottom face in the blade rest section in an inclined condition, because the bottom face in the blade rest section is left in a smooth face without jaggedness. SOLUTION: In the sword hanger stand which has a pair of right and left vertical boards 1, 1, each of which is formed with blade rest sections 11, 11 in same height positions where the sword can be hung on in a loaded manner in the horizontal direction, each blade rest section 11 has a bottom face 12 of a prescribed length in the depth direction and a back reclining face 13 on the depth end. The bottom face 12 in the blade rest section 11 is formed in a small interval in the depth direction with a plurality of recessed portions 15 where an edge 32 or a back section 34 of the sword 3 can be engaged. The sword 3 in a loaded manner hung on the sword rest section 11 can be maintained in a stable posture, and the stuffing becomes unnecessary.
