To manufacture flat sleeves, first and second film strips are superposed longitudinally, welded and cut transversely to their longitudinal direction to form flat sleeves each comprising a stub part and a cover part. The film strips are superposed so that a lateral part of the first strip overhangs the second strip. A pre-cut (6) is made in the first film strip in the lateral part (11) and near a longitudinal edge of the second strip and the sleeves are cut along a cut (15) cut into an interruption zone (19,20) tangent to the pre-cut line. <??>An Independent claim is included for a flat sleeve obtained using the method. |
