PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a massage chair changable in the elasticity and contact areas of massaging elements with the skin so as to give the optimum massage effect to a person. SOLUTION: The massage chair is equipped with a backrest 2 and a seat part 3. The physiological data of the person to be massaged detected by the physiological data sensor 22 of the seat part 3 and the data inputted to an operation panel are sent to a control part 23. The control part 23 forms a control signal on the basis of these data to send the same to a filling substance supply part 21 and a drive part 20. The filling substance supply part 21 supplies a filling substance to the tubes provided in the massage rollers of the massaging elements 10 on the basis of the control signal inputted from the control part 23 to hold the pressure to the tubes to a predetermined value. The drive part 20 moves the massaging elements 10 forwardly and rearwardly on the basis of the control signal to apply massaging action.
