PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gene manipulation method using a spin probe, which can directly act on the spin electron state of a bond between a DNA base and sugar chain with the spin probe, freely control the spin state of the bond, and cleaving the bond, for the recombination operation of each gene-constituting molecule, and to provide a device therefor. SOLUTION: A spin probe (nano tube probe) 4 is brought close to a bond site 3 between a DNA base (cytosine) 1 and a sugar 2. Then, the spin state of the spin probe 4 is tunneled to the bond site 3 to cause an anti-bonding state in the bond between the DNA base 1 and the sugar 2, thereby cleaving the bond.
