A connection between adjacent structural members, preferably roof trusses, includes a connector (1) having a body portion (9, Figure 2), which in use is attached to a first member, and laterally extending wings (7, 8 Figure 2) which are foldable around a second member and are fastened thereto. Preferably the wings are provided with strengthening channels (22, Figure 2) and the body portion is provided with a lateral aperture (32, Figure 2). The second member may be located adjacent the connector such that only one edge is in contact with the body of the connector, which results in the second member being held at an angle to the first member (Figures 7-9). In a first invention the connection is between a top chord (3) of a main roof truss (4) and a bottom chord (12) of a jack valley truss (2). In a further inventions the connection is between a header (37, Figure 12) and an end face of a joist (36, Figure 12) and adjacent horizontally disposed skewed trusses (38, 39 Figure 11). |
