CATALYST STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst structure which improves moldability and reaction efficiency by increasing the amount of a catalyst to be held in the catalyst structure. SOLUTION: This catalyst structure in which a metallic catalyst is held on a heat-resistant fiber by an inorganic binder is obtained by molding a porous structure having roughly 10-90% porosity by using the heat-resistant fiber and holding the metallic catalyst in the pores of the porous structure by the inorganic binder. A gaseous raw material is introduced from the direction almost orthogonal to the surface of the porous structure.
