PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a formed body from sulfur-containing slag such as a molten iron desulfurization slag or the like as a raw material with very small generation of yellow water. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method is based on a finding that a formed body with very small generation of yellow water is able to be stably manufacturing by an oxidation treatment for fixing sulfur content in sulfur-containing slag and a carbonation-solidification treatment utilizing uncarbonated Ca in the sulfur-containing slag. The manufacturing method consists of a fixing process fixing the sulfur content in the slag as sulfur compound by the oxidization treatment of the sulfur-containing slag, while a material loading layer of the sulfur-containing slag oxidized by the oxidization treatment is formed and an uncarbonated Ca in the slag is carbonated by blowing CO2 gas or gas containing CO2 into the material loading layer, a solidification process solidifying a material loading layer of the sulfur-containing slag with CaCO3 generated by the carbonation as a binder, thereby obtaining the formed body.
