PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a muscular strength auxiliary device for an invalid person which has a simple constitution and imparted thereto at a low price. SOLUTION: The muscular strength auxiliary device mounted on at least one of those sites such as the shoulder, side, upper arm, back, and waist of a user is provided with a part 10 for holding the device mounted site of the user's body and a mechanism 20 for hanging the part 10. The hanging mechanism 20 is constituted of a horizontal arm 21 having one end which is pivotally moved within a horizontal surface, a vertically movable part 22 which is provided on the other end of the horizontal arm 21 and composed of a rope mechanism or an arm mechanism which moves vertically on the part 10, and a weight mechanism 23 or a spring mechanism 29 which pulls the vertically movable part 22, at least upward. This muscular strength auxiliary device is further provided with a motor for adjusting a hanging force applied by the weight mechanism 23, and an adjusting mechanism 24 such as a viscosity-variable brake 24.
