PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a portability of a vacuum cleaner in a standing and stored state. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner includes a hose 10 provided with a connecting portion 3 at one end thereof, which is detachably connected from the forward side of a main body 1, an extension pipe 4 connected to the other end of the hose 10, and a handle portion 12 provided on the connecting portion 3. A grip portion 13 of the handle portion 12 is formed by being inclined at an angle of substantially 45 deg. to the side of the main body 1, and part of the hose 10 is held between the handle portion 12 and the front surface part of the main body 1.
