Track type chain has a low friction polyamide-polyimide based lubricant on the mating faces of bush and bolt at the hinges. Chain links comprise a bush (1), bolt (2) and chain members (3,4). At the hinge points of the chain members the outer surface (5) of the bolt (2) or the inner surface (6) of the bush (1) are coated with a low friction lubricant comprising a binder or carrier of plastic based on polyamide-polyimide or molecular structures with amide-imide monomers mixed either with molybdenum disulfide or oxide or hydroxide compounds of molybdenum or a mixture of these with graphite. An Independent claim is made for a use of the low friction lubricant for coating the surfaces of the track chain hinge bolt (2) and bush (1).
