PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope which allows an easy inserting and attaching operation of a light guide plug without accuracy. SOLUTION: A light guide connector 24 where the light guide plug 15 is inserted for attachment is provided on a light source device 20 of the endoscope. A ball lens 30 (a converting element of optical intensity distribution) is contained at an end on the side of a condenser 23 of the light guide connector 24. The ball lens 30 converts optical intensity distribution of a convergent luminous flux from the condenser 23 to be low in the center and to be high at the periphery. A ball lens 31 (an optical trapping element) is contained at an end of the light guide plug 15. The ball lens 31 traps light from the ball lens 30, and has the light entered on an incidenct end of a light guide 16. |
