摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray CT unit of a multiseriate detector type which can produce tomograms of high picture quality by correcting distortion in a specified direction in each phase without any loss in axial resolution and a method for producing the tomograms. SOLUTION: In this X-ray CT unit of the multiseriate detector type, when three-dimensional X-rays are applied to an examinee 4 who is either moving along the axial direction or remains at rest, from an X-ray producer 1 that is moving around the examinee 4, the X-rays transmitted through the examinee 4 are detected by multiseriate detectors 5 that are two-dimensionally arranged, and the projected data from those detectors is used to create tomographic images. An image processing unit 9, which produces such tomographic images based on the projected data that those detectors have collected or detected through helical scanning, can correct a distortion (or artifact) caused in a specified direction in each phase without any loss in the axial resolution, by using a plurality of different phase data at the same slice position.</p>
