Production of a highly pure air component from a less pure pre-product in a distillation column system comprises passing a stream of the less pure pre-product to a first separating column and removing a highly pure product from the separating column. <??>Production of a highly pure air component from a less pure pre-product in a distillation column system comprises passing a stream (4) of the less pure pre-product to a first separating column (5); and removing a highly pure product (8) from the separating column. The distillation column system comprises a first condenser-evaporator (6) and a second condenser-evaporator (7), each having a liquefying chamber and an evaporator chamber. Reflux liquid (26) for one of the separating columns is produced in the liquefying chamber of the first condenser-evaporator and vapor for one of the separating columns is produced in the evaporating chamber of the second condenser-evaporator. A heat exchanger fluid containing not more than 95 mol.% nitrogen is compressed in a compressor (12) in a circulating system, condensed in the liquefying chamber of the second condenser-evaporator, the pressure released, the fluid evaporated in the evaporation chamber of the first condenser-evaporator, and finally fed to the compressor. <??>An Independent claim is also included for a device for carrying out the process. |
