Skibinding

The ski binding cooperates with the underside of the ski boot, with the force applied by the skier received by an elongate relatively stiff carrier plate extending in the ski longitudinal direction. The carrier plate has a section which is rigidly secured to the ski (1) and a section which is spaced from the ski and coupled to it via a coupling with an elasticity and/or damping rate which is varied in dependence on detected parameters. Pref. the variable coupling is provided by at least one fluid-filled chamber (10,12) between the surface of the ski and the carrier plate.
