PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To previously prevent a phenomenon of heating, smoking, firing, etc., generated by abnormality of a battery protecting circuit, by interrupting carrying of a battery current based on a detection result of leakage, in an organic electrolyte battery. SOLUTION: In the case of an organic electrolyte leaking from an organic electrolyte battery, this leaking is detected in leakage detector 1. The leakage detector 1 has a leakage detection electrode 2 carrying a current through the electrolyte by its contact and leakage detection means 3 detecting carrying of a current in the leakage detection electrode 2. This leakage detection is output by an output outputting means 4, based on this output, a current carrying interruption means 5 or a charge control means 6 is operated, a battery 7 is separated from a circuit. Leakage of the battery is displayed in a display device of a battery use equipment or the like. The leakage detection electrode 2 is provided on an exclusive use circuit board or a battery protection circuit board controlling charge/discharge of the battery. The leakage detection electrode 2 is preferably coated with an insulating film unsoluble in water to be fused in the organic electrolyte. |
