<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep carried and delivered sheets free from a rumple by applying the constitution that a sheet carrying speed with a carrying means positioned downstream of the fixing device of an image forming device is made variable, depending upon a sheet carrying condition or the like. SOLUTION: When a paper sheet carried after an image fixed thereon with a fixing roller 7 is a repeated copy, or comes from the feed of a long-sized paper sheet, the linear velocity of a delivery roller 11 is decelerated to be slower than the initial linear velocity thereof, but within a range equal to or above the linear velocity of the paper sheet at a fixing part, thereby keeping the sheet free from a rumple or the like. Also, when the delivery roller 11 is in a decelerated control mode and a gap between paper sheets is equal to or above the prescribed value, the velocity of the delivery roller 11 is reset to the initial linear velocity, thereby preventing the paper sheets from being deflected between the fixing roller 7 and the delivery roller 11. In other than the prescribed conditions, the delivery roller 11 is driven at a constant speed without any deceleration control, and the drive thereof is stopped after the passage of the sheet.</p> |
