PURPOSE: A protective cap structure of a filler cap for a fuel tank is provided to prevent foreign matters from coming into the fuel tank in filling fuel, to improve an exterior view of a vehicle and to prevent a loss of a protective cap. CONSTITUTION: In a protective cap structure of a filler cap(300) for a fuel tank, a rubber(420) forming a protective film(421) to the bottom part of the inner peripheral surface(410) to be adhered closely to the outer peripheral surface(310) of the filler cap, is inserted in a protective cap(400). The filler cap is installed to the front of a fuel filler(210) for injecting fuel to a fuel tank storing fuel to be supplied to an engine. The fuel tank is mounted to a bracket fixed to a side of a frame supporting a body of a commercial vehicle. A chain(600) is connected to the top of the protective cap. The chain is fastened to a hook formed to a predetermined position of the bottom part of a box loading objects of the commercial vehicle.
