An aqueous composition that is useful for protective coating of a plant is provided. The composition comprises a first set of components which is capable of forming a coating on a surface of said plant, and a second set of components which has plant-protecting activity. The coating is present as an extensible dry film in a dry environment, and is present as a wet film in a humid environment. The wet film is capable of releasing any expansion pressure on the film resulting from plant growth. There is also provided a protective coating for a plant and a method for protection of plant surfaces, involving application of the composition onto the plant surfaces. |
