The illumination arrangement is designed so that the light source (4) and one end (36) of the light wave conducting cable (30) can be placed in a position, that the light cable and the light source are mounted on opposite lying sides of a plate of light conducting material, so that the light conducting cable conducts light from the light source. The light conducting cable includes one or more light conducting fibres (n). The other end of the light cable delivers light to an ornament e.g. submarine.
