A result of analysis of descriptors characterizing the request being processed, is compared with descriptors of other requests processed earlier. The request being processed is considered similar to the earlier request, when the two requests have only certain request descriptors in common. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for processing request for obtaining multimedia digital data; (2) communication appliance; (3) information storage medium storing request processing program; and (4) a request processing program.
