The input clutch control for a motor vehicle automatic gearbox has a motor-reduction drive acting on a piston of a master cylinder (2) connected to a slave cylinder. The reduction transmission is reversible and the master cylinder has a non-return valve (17) sprung (19) to a closed position. The valve is solenoid operated to remain open in the rest position.
