PROJECTION TELEVISION AND METHOD FOR ADJUSTING CONVERGENCE THEREOF

PURPOSE: A projection television and a method for adjusting convergence thereof are provided to watch the projection television continuously even in the middle of adjusting convergence. CONSTITUTION: A pattern signal for adjusting convergence is inputted to a CRT(Cathode Ray Tube) through a video signal amplifying part. Image patterns corresponding to the pattern signal are projected to predetermined areas(B1,B2,B3,B4) deviating from a visible area(A) of a screen(3). Position signals related to the projected image patterns are detected by optical sensors(S1,S2,S3,S4). The detected position signals are converted into position data by an analog-to-digital converting part. A convergence microcomputer and a convergent adjusting circuit regulate current flowing in a convergence yoke of the CRT.
