PURPOSE: A catalyst for substantially reducing quantities of NOx, graphite, particular matter (PM), CO and HC and improving fuel efficiency at the same time by reforming fossil fuel is provided. CONSTITUTION: In a catalyst arranged between fossil fuel tank and combustion chamber of engine to reform fossil fuel, the catalyst for reforming fossil fuel is characterized in that the catalyst contains principal constituents of clay, cerium and thorium, potassium and/or strontium and tin and/or cobalt and comprises ceramic catalyst for decomposing the fossil fuel prepared by sintering the same, platinum catalyst or platinum contained catalyst, and magnet, wherein 0.5 to 20 wt.% of the platinum catalyst or platinum contained catalyst is used for the ceramic catalyst, wherein the sintering is performed at a temperature of 800 to 1,500 deg.C, and wherein the magnet is a permanent magnet, and 25 to 35 wt.% of the permanent magnet is used for the total weight of the catalyst. |
