PURPOSE: Provided is a hydantoin(imidazolidin-2,4-dione) derivative having farnesyl transferase inhibiting activity and useful as an anticancer agent. Also provided are its pharmaceutically acceptable salt, its manufacturing method, and an anticancer agent containing it as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION: A hydantoin(imidazolidin-2,4-dione) derivative having farnesyl transferase inhibiting activity is characteristically represented by the formula(1), wherein R1 and R2 are independently hydrogen, lower alkyl, lower alkyl or halogen substituted monocyclic or bicyclic aryl group, R3 is an amino acid group, R4 is hydrogen, lower alkyl or halogen substituted or unsubstituted aromatic group, noncyclic aromatic group, or heteroaromatic group.
