<p>A secondary cell includes a polar plate group, electrolyte, a cell case containing the polar plate group and the electrolyte, and a current collecting plate arranged at the bottom of the cell case. The polar plate group consists of a positive polar plate and a negative polar plate which are wound via a separator. The positive polar plate includes a tape-shaped positive polar core material and positive polar composite agent supported by the positive polar core material. The negative polar plate includes a tape-shaped negative polar core material and negative polar composite agent supported by the negative polar core material. At least one of the positive polar plate and the negative polar plate has an end portion parallel to the longitudinal direction of the exposed core material. The end portion is arranged at the end surface of he polar plate group and connected directly to the current collecting plate. At least a part of the current collecting plate is exposed outside the bottom of the cell case.</p> |
