When an interrupt request arises, a language processing section (64) stores a completion pointer (D46) in a job attribute database (72) as information for specifying a position to start language interpretation for restarting interrupted print job data as well as information on print setting at a position indicated by the completion pointer (D46). For restarting printing of the interrupted print job data, printing is set on the basis of information on print setting stored in this job attribute database (72), and the language interpretation of print job data is started at the position of the completion pointer (D46) stored in the job attribute database (72). This process makes a user’s wait time to restart the printing of the interrupted print job as short as possible.
