The invention relates to a method for processing sheet products, especially valuable papers such as bank notes, cheques etc. According to the inventive method, various groups of sheet products are successively processed, the groups of sheet products being separated in order to be processed. At least one information means is used, in addition to a simple separating means, for separating and processing each group of sheet products. The separating means is exclusively used for separating the individual groups of sheet products from each other, while the information means is used to provide information about each respective group of sheet products, in view of the processing step. |
