<p>The press (1) includes a support structure (2, 3) in which first and second print rolls (5, 7) are mounted for rotation, superimposed one above the other and counter rotating in operation, between which rolls is passed a substrate (P) intended to receive the print. The support structure includes a movable upper portion (2) and a stationary lower portion (3), with each of which carries a respective print roll (5, 7). This structure has associated with it a sensor (9) for providing electrical signals indicating the value of the pressure exchanged between the print rolls (5, 7) ; and a movement device (10, 11) for the controlled movement of the upper portion (2) relative to the lower portion (3) so as correspondingly to adjust the relative position of, and the pressure exchanged between, the aforesaid print rolls (5, 7).</p> |
