<p>A method of estimating cancer by using tumor markers by which the tumorigenic process is classified into stages so that not only early cancer in a specific organ is found out by monitoring the oncogenesis with the passage of time but early cancer at any position can be found out and the a high-risk group can be thus identified. This method involves the step of collecting blood; the step of screening, from the blood thus collected, the existence and appearing order of a cancer proliferation marker first appearing in the blood during oncogenesis, a tumor-associated marker appearing subsequently, and the tumor-specific marker appearing finally; and the step of classifying the tumor development process into several stages depending on the tumor development levels by screening these markers. According to this method, a carcinoembryonic antigen in the cancer development is referred to as identical with the tumor-specific cancer, a carcinoplacental antigen is referred to as identical with the tumor-associated marker, and a tumor-angiogenesis-associated substance is referred to as identical with the tumor proliferation marker. By analyzing these markers combinedly, caner occurring in an apparently healthy subject is found out and, at the same time, the risk level of the cancer is estimated.</p> |
