The method is characterised in that it includes the following stages cyclically: updating of said meter to a predetermined energy value available to the user for consumption over a predetermined period of time, independently of the state of charge of the accumulator element (2) at that time; supply of energy by activation of a dispensing element (5) provided on said device, and discounting of said predetermined value of energy available to the user from said meter element on the basis of the energy consumption determined by the current measuring element (7); and disconnection of the supply of energy by means of disconnection of the dispensing element (5) in the event of said energy available to the user descending to value 0 on said meter. It permits the user to be offered a guarantee of service.
