A laminated ceramic electronic component and a method of manufacturing the electronic component,the laminated ceramic electronic component comprising a laminated body having ceramic layers and internal electrodes alternately laminated on each other and metal oxides of at least one or more types disposed between the ceramic layers and the internal electrodes;the method of manufacturing the laminated ceramic electronic component comprising a first step for manufacturing the laminated body by alternately laminating ceramic sheets and metal films on each other and a second step for baking the laminated body with such a distributed pressure of oxygen that the first metal is hardly oxidized and the second metal is oxidized,wherein the metal films are formed by placing a second metal easier oxidized than a sheet−like first metal on the surface of the first metal.
