PURPOSE: A cooling apparatus for a motor vehicle is provided to achieve improved cooling efficiency of engine by preventing the heat generated from the outside of the engine from being transferred to the engine. CONSTITUTION: A cooling apparatus comprises a water jacket(10), a water pump(20), a radiator(30) and a cooling fan(40), wherein each component is connected through a coolant pipe(50) so as to allow for circulation of the coolant. The radiator has both side surfaces where heat shielding plates(30a,30b) are mounted so as to prevent the heat generated from the motor vehicle from being transferred to an engine(90).
