<p>The invention relates to a control device comprising a peripheral which is connected to golf games that can be run on PCs currently available on the market. As a control element, the inventive device can replace the standard mouse or joystick, taking the form of a real golf club which is provided with a magnetic strip at the head thereof. A ball is positioned on a sensor (2) and when said ball is hit in a real manner, the magnetic strip excites a series of electromagnetic coils (3) acting as proximity sensors and said sensor (2) generates signals relating to speed and the angle of the club. The aforementioned signals are transmitted first to a measuring apparatus (5), where they are compared with reference signals, and subsequently to the PC (8) on which the game is being run, such that each swing or movement of the golf club performed by the player in order to hit the ball has an effect on the game. In this way, the electronic game or video game takes place in the same manner as a real game of golf, namely by swinging or moving the golf club in order to hit the ball.</p> |
