The present invention is a toy travel clock (10) that includes an input device (32) configured to accept an estimated time of travel between a starting location (50) and a destination (52); a distance travel calculator (109) configured to compute an estimated distance traveled; and an output device (14) configured to display an indication of the estimated distance traveled. The toy travel clock (10) graphically displays the starting location (50), the destination (52) a hypothetical route (53) connecting the starting location (50) to the destination (52), and the indication of the distance traveled along the hypothetical route.
