A device and method for controlling strain in a transmission line such as a power or signal transmitting wire, cable or other conduit. The device includes a body having at least one cavity formed therein for receipt of at least a portion of a transmission line. Multiple openings formed in the body allow the transmission line to extend from the cavity and external to the body. The cavity is defined to include a peripheral boundary formed at least partially by a first substantially linear wall and a second opposing wall which deviates from the first wall thereby forming a deviation path for the transmission line disposed therein. A cover may be provided to cooperatively mate with the body such that it conceals the cavity or cavities formed therein. |
