A multifunctional switch device(124)is used with electronic equipment(123,123',124')for,e.g.,adjusting functions in a vehicle,for example,seat(119',120',121'),mirrors(117',117"),windows(118'),speed,ventilation,lights etc.A central processing unit(123)controls the individual adjustments of equipment,and a data bus(123')provides an exchange of information both ways between the central processing unit and the functional equipment.All components connected to the data bus will contain data related to identity and functionality.A display(125)is connected directly to the central processing unit(123),whilst the switch device(124)is connected to the data bus(123')via a suitable interface(124').To facilitate use of the switch device(124)an animation thereof is shown on the display(125).
