METHOD OF DETECTING TARGET NUCLEIC ACID AND NUCLEIC ACID PROBE

A method of detecting a target nucleic acid comprising: the step of preparing a nucleic acid probe which is labeled with a donor fluorescent substance and an acceptor substance located as allowing fluorescent energy transfer and has a sequence complementary with at least a part of the target nucleic acid; the step of mixing a sample solution with the nucleic acid probe to thereby hybridize the target nucleic acid with the nucleic acid probe; and the step of, after the step (b), treating the sample solution with a sequence−independent nuclease to thereby detect the target nucleic acid based on the change in the fluorescent intensity of the sample solution. Thus, it is possible to achieve both of improvement in the degree of freeness in designing the nucleic acid probe and simplification in the procedure.
