PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to increase discharge area and achieve improved luminance and efficiency by arranging the transparent electrodes of the sustaining electrodes in the diagonal direction of the discharge cell. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel comprises a scanning/sustaining electrode(44) and a common sustaining electrode(46) formed on an upper substrate, and an address electrode formed on a lower substrate. The scanning/sustaining electrode has a transparent electrode(44A) and a bus electrode(44B) and the common sustaining electrode has a transparent electrode(46A) and a bus electrode(46B), wherein both transparent electrodes are formed in the diagonal direction of the discharge cell. |
