PURPOSE: A remote control apparatus of a washing machine and a method thereof are provided to improve convenience by displaying the connection state of communication on the remote controller with connecting the communication unit to the washing machine. CONSTITUTION: The trial of connection to a server through a second communication unit is detected(S10), and errors are decided after connecting to the server(S20). Remote control is performed in the absence of errors(S30), and errors between first and second communication units are detected(S40). A message on cause of errors is displayed on the second communication unit in detecting errors between first and second communication units(S50). Error messages are displayed in detecting errors between the first communication unit and a washing machine(S60). Errors are displayed on the remote communication unit by connecting the communication unit to the washing machine through the internet. |
