PURPOSE: A heater driving apparatus for a drier is provided to keep control temperature constant by regulating calorific value of a heater with regulating the supply amount of gas, and to extend the life span by reducing drying time efficiently with preventing the heater from being turned on and off repeatedly. CONSTITUTION: A drier heats and dries the laundry by supplying hot air to a rotary drum, and discharges air from the rotary drum. A heater driving apparatus of the drier comprises a heating fuel driving unit driven to supply fuel for heating, a variable adjustor variably adjusting the opening degree of the heating fuel driving unit, and a control unit regulating the opening degree of the heating fuel driving unit through the variable adjuster, and outputting the signal to control heating value of the heater. The temperature for drying is kept constant by controlling the heating value of the heater with regulating the gas amount.
